Made in Nature

“When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world.” ― John Muir

At Metanoia Active, we’re passionate about respecting our natural resources by consuming consciously. We partner with farmers and herders to source all of our Merino Wool in New Zealand, the provenance of the finest quality ZQ certified wool on the planet.

Unlike polyester, a form of plastic that’s harmful to ourselves and our planet, Merino Wool is renewable, sustainable, and biodegradable. From cultivating materials through manufacturing, our mission is a soulful one: to sustainably create the very best, performance-driven activewear.

A natural wonder.

Nature’s miracle fabric, Merino Wool is breathable, buttery-soft, and long-lasting. Made at one of the oldest mills in Biella, Italy, it’s the apex of comfort and function. Unlike polyester, it features an all-way stretch, is hypoallergenic, and non-irritating, making it highly versatile. It’s also anti-microbial and odor resistant so you can wear more and wash less to conserve time, water, and energy. We recommend machine washing on cold every 10+ wears followed by air drying.

100% traceable to source.

The well-being of animals, people, and the planet is the heart of our approach. Our Merino Wool is 100% traceable to the high country hills of New Zealand where sheep graze on open pastures. Mulesing-free and sheep friendly, they are free to forage and are regularly monitored to ensure optimal health and well-being.

A healthier, natural alternative to polyester, Merino Wool does not use global warming fossil fuels in manufacturing. It is also naturally biodegradable in 12 to 18 months, whereas polyester takes over 200 years and never fully breaks down. We partner with Carbon Fund to measure, mitigate, and offset our carbon footprint and certified ZQ Merino Fiber to source biodegradable, sustainable, and traceable Merino Wool. Environmental innovation is always at the forefront of our philosophy
